Cookie policy
A cookie is a small file a website keeps in your browser. IBOS uses as few as it can: the ones below are needed for the site to work, and the law lets a site use those without asking. Anything optional is only ever used after you say yes.
What IBOS stores in your browser
| Name | Purpose | Category | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
ibos_session Cookie | Keeps you signed in. Holds a random token; the database stores only a scrambled form of it, so it can't be replayed from a leak. | Strictly necessary | 30 days, or until you log out |
ibos_consent Cookie | Remembers the cookie choice you made, so you aren't asked on every page. | Strictly necessary | 6 months |
theme Local storage | Remembers light or dark mode, if you choose one. Never leaves your browser. | Strictly necessary | Until you clear it |
All of these are first-party: set by ibos.study, read only by ibos.study, and never shared with anyone else.
Optional cookies
The cookie panel has one optional category, analytics, which would let IBOS count visits and see which features get used without identifying you. IBOS runs no analytics today, so no optional cookie is set whatever you choose. The switch exists so that if analytics is ever added, it can only run for people who have already said yes — and this page will list it before it does.
There is no advertising, no tracking pixel and no third-party cookie of any kind.
Changing your mind
Use the “Cookie settings” button above, or the link in the footer of any public page, to change your choice at any time. Withdrawing consent is exactly as easy as giving it. Your choice is remembered for six months, after which you will be asked again.
You can also delete cookies through your browser’s settings. Deleting ibos_session signs you out; deleting ibos_consent means you will be asked again.
